Just one note to make about this story: The Village of Fear, when it first appeared in Doomsday Squad #3, was the very first time that a Usagi Yojimbo story was published in color. Whenit was later collected with the other early stories included in the first trade paperback collection, the artwork was reworked a little bit to compensate for being printed in b/w (the way it also appears in the Special Edition hardcover set).
